Shoreline Hair Show
In preparation for the upcoming Hair and Beauty Expo Student Team Competition at the Coconut Grove on October 7th our student teams participated in our very own hair show at the school! Students spent two weeks designing a Fantasy Up-do on their mannequin heads. The results were scored on the basis of most creative design and difficulty. The finalists received a gift certificate from CosmoProf and the winner received a gift certificate to their favorite clothing store:)

Welcoming our new students!
We welcomed 16 new students to our very popular full time Cosmetology
program last week!

This program is designed to prepare people for
competitive positions in the cosmetology industry such as cosmetologist, skin care, stylists, colorists, make up artists and manicurists. This course
covers 18 units, which the participants will be required to complete during a
prescribed period of time. The curriculum is covered five days a week for a
10-month period to meet the State of California
cosmetology license exam requirements. The class hours are Tuesday through Saturday
from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The program is offered in our Capitola location at
1550 41st Avenue. Classes are conducted by a board licensed
cosmetology instructor with extensive industry and teaching background.
Typical work standards such as punctuality, good
attendance, attitude and appropriate dress are required to promote
professionalism and good work habits. Graduates receive job seeking and
business skills as part of their curriculum on a group and individual basis.

Five teams of four present their models and display their skills learned over the last year in three categories: Hair, Make up, and Nails. All five teams did an excellent job!
